Philosophy

The methods of exercise and rehabilitation prescription or massage therapies offered to clients are specific to their needs, though not entirely followed to the book nor held in a rigid structured system.  Everyone is an individual and what works for one person may not give the same result for another.  Adaptation and tweakology is key!  With regular test protocols used to monitor and revise programmes in order to develop progression, whether your end goal is to shift some unwanted weight, recover from an injury or prepare for sport specific achievement, everything is tailored to you.

Darren is a big believer in honest consistent hard work!  It gives the most sustainable great results.  This should be the foundation of any training, rehabilitation or fitness regime.  At the end of the day there are no short cuts!  However with personal research, the use of proven techniques demonstrated by elite athletes, scientists, physiologists and laboratory tests there is a more intellectual approach to give better results than the gung-ho tactics many people find themselves tackling.  This said though, the use of academic research is not worth the paper it's written on if it does not stand up in practice.  Proven methods along with personal experience of tried and tested programmes have to be balanced and that it must be driven by the client and how they respond both physically and mentally.

"We all learn day by day and without pushing our boundaries and limitations our lives become stagnant.  Having an open mind gives us the opportunity to learn from one another and to challenge the very core and foundations of our selves."
