Disclaimer

With all activities come inherent risks.  It is your responsibility to judge these risks and act upon them according to your current psychological, physiological and skill level.  I wouldn't go and climb a mountain with out specific training and safety ropes, and nor should you if you haven't been training to do this.  If you choose to follow any examples of training I post on the site you do so at your own risk.  Consult your health care professional before completing strenuous physical exertion.

As a qualified trainer and sports therapist I naturally take a duty of care when delivering a programme to a client, providing the up most safety, however I can not predict nor prevent a rolled ankle if you do not watch your footing or stop you dropping a weight on your toes if your not true to your capabilities.

Be honest to yourself and scale your goals, training and rehabilitation to a realistic level and challenge your boundaries one step at a time.  Progression is key to success, a new goal can be made once the first is complete.

With this said pushing our boundaries is how we progress as human beings.  The more you put in the more you get out, no pain no gain!  Expressions we've all heard before that carry a huge amount of truth in the right hands.
